The Scholarship for Underprivileged Students is designed to provide financial support to talented individuals from low-income backgrounds who aspire to pursue higher education but face financial barriers. This scholarship aims to break down economic obstacles and create opportunities for financially challenged promising students to access quality education, empowering them to build a brighter future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Two Scholarships for any undergraduate degree program at Villa College.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Maldivian national
- Demonstrated financial need supported by household income and expenditure statements
- Meet the entry requirements of the chosen program at Villa College
- Not currently enrolled in any tertiary education institute
Selection Criteria:
Financial Need Assessment ( 50 points) :
Evaluation of the applicant's financial situation through submitted income and expenditure statements.
Academic Merit (35 points):
Evaluated based on academic performance
Academic Potential and Commitment to Education (10 Points):
Assessment of the applicant’s academic performance and commitment to pursuing higher education.
Potential for Future Success and Contribution to Society . ( 5 Points):
Consideration of the applicant's aspirations and plans for using their education to positively impact their community and society at large
Documents to be Submitted:
- Completed scholarship application form.
- Copy of National ID Card.
- Income and expenditure statements to demonstrate financial need.
- Academic transcripts and certificates (including O-Level/A-Level or equivalent qualifications).
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or professionals who can attest to the applicant's academic potential and commitment to education.
- A personal statement (300–500 words) addressing:
o Academic goals and motivation for pursuing higher education.
o The financial challenges faced and how the scholarship would alleviate these barriers.
o Plans for contributing positively to society after completing their education.
