Villa College Launches Ambitious SDG 100 Initiative for a Sustainable Future

Villa College is proud to announce the launch of SDG 100, our most ambitious sustainability program to date. This initiative aligns the College's academic and operational efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), demonstrating our unwavering commitment to creating a better world. The launch took place as part of the Conversations on Clean Energy and Climate Change Mitigation event, hosted by the UK Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Villa College, at the Ocean View Hall in QI campus on 25th February 2025.

The initiative was launched by Mr. Enrico Gaveglia, UNDP Resident Representative, and Dr. Ali Najeeb, Villa College's Vice Rector and Associate Professor.

At Villa College, we firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of a sustainable future. SDG 100 embodies this belief, embedding sustainability into every facet of our institution, from education and research to community engagement and daily operations.

SDG 100 is a comprehensive plan of action, consisting of 100 impactful projects and activities designed to address all 17 UN SDGs. This dynamic approach ensures continuous progress and lasting impact throughout the year.

We recognize that achieving true sustainability requires a collective effort. Villa College is actively collaborating with businesses, NGOs, government agencies, and international partners to maximize the impact of SDG 100. By working together, we can create a ripple effect of positive change.

SDG 100 is more than just a program; it's a promise to future generations. It's a commitment to building a more equitable and sustainable world. We believe that every action, no matter how small, contributes to this larger goal.
